Take 10 minutes to do a quick business check ready for bouncing back…
1. Google Yourself
- Check out what the world sees when it Googles you or your company. What messages are they seeing and are they correct? Look out for any review and respond to them if you can.
2. Check out your own website
Does the search landing page of your website convey the image and the message that you want it to? Is it up to date? This is what your customers see first and first impressions count! Changing the wording or the imagery regularly can also help with your ranking status.
3. Check out your competition
Search out your competitors, by name and by product. How does their online presence compare to yours? Do you have a slightly more unique offering that you could promote to help you stand out from the crowd? Think about how they are presenting themselves (good and bad points) and what you can learn from this for your own website.
4. Look to cut your costs
Do a business price comparison search to check that you are not spending more than you need, on insurance, utilities, any software and admin items.
5. Enhance your skills
10 minutes isn’t long enough to complete a course, but it is long enough to find a free one on a subject you would like to learn more about. Try the Open University or your Local Enterprise Partnership for free courses, workshops and seminars.
